The new Osawa cutlery is made of stainless steel with a PVD coating in black, gold and copper colour. PVD, or Physical Vapor Deposition, is a process that uses the condensation of molecules from a gas or vapor to create a wafer-thin layer. For the black Osawa we have chosen a resistant layer of 1 micrometre. These cutlery are dishwasher safe to a limited extent, so we recommend that you wash them by hand as much as possible to keep them in their original state.
