Driven by meaning, shaped by craftsmanship

Koen Van Troost, Head of Design at Pomax. With a background in fashion, fine art and the restoration and conservation of polychrome artworks, he has developed a broad design vision in which aesthetics, craftsmanship and functionality reinforce one another. His career has taken him through a diverse range of European brands, from luxury labels to premium and high-street collections, giving him a keen eye for both creative identity and commercial relevance.

At Pomax, he channels that experience into collections with a distinctive signature. He helps shape a recognisable design language centred on authenticity, warmth and timeless elegance. Colour, material and form are carefully harmonised to create objects that are not only beautiful but also tell a story. Each design contributes to the Pomax world: an interior where quality, character and a sense of coming home come together.

In the heart of the forest, amongst tree trunks and earth, Fluxa seems to emerge as if by magic. The collection is crafted from upcycled aluminium with a warm bronze finish. Each piece begins with reclaimed metal, which is remelted and reshaped, giving discarded material a new lease of life. Thanks to the varying heights and diameters, the tables can be combined to form a layered ensemble, or stand confidently on their own. Fluxa is the movement of nature, captured in design.
