Patricia Rommens is a Belgian designer whose deep respect for people, animals and nature lies at the heart of her work. What began as a personal quest grew into a passion for ceramics, in which every unique creation celebrates the beauty of imperfection and pure simplicity.
The maNi collection drew its inspiration from a walk along the rugged coastlines of Calpe and Altea in Spain. The raw shapes of Calpe’s rocks formed the basis for the design and capture the power and authenticity of nature. The colours are inspired by the soft red sea anemone, a delicate creature that finds its home amongst the hard rocks on the coast. A contrast between strength and softness, reflecting our own quest for tenderness amidst the harshness of the world.
