maintenance instructions
Ceramics
Ceramics are made from natural raw materials which acquire their unique character through shaping, glazing and firing. It is precisely this artisanal origin that results in subtle differences in colour, texture, shape and finish – no two pieces are exactly the same. With the right care, ceramics retain their beauty for many years. Clean it with a soft cloth or sponge and avoid abrasive products, hard knocks and sudden changes in temperature.
Always refer to the product’s specific care instructions for the correct maintenance.
Porcelain
Porcelain is a refined ceramic material in which form, colour, and finish come together. From subtle glazes to pronounced textures and organic shapes, the firing process gives each design its own character and makes every piece special.
Subtle variations in colour, shape, texture, and glaze are a natural result of the production and firing process and contribute to the unique appearance of each piece.
Care
To keep your porcelain tableware looking beautiful for as long as possible:
- Clean with a soft sponge, lukewarm water, and a mild cleaning agent.
- Avoid abrasive products and hard brushes to protect the finish.
- Handle the tableware with care and avoid knocks and falls.
- Avoid sudden changes in temperature.
- Dishwasher and microwave safe only if explicitly indicated.
- Allow the tableware to dry completely before storing it.
- Preferably stack delicate pieces with protection between them to help prevent scratches and damage.
Stoneware
Stoneware is a distinctive ceramic material with a natural, tactile appearance. Rich glazes, organic shapes and subtle textures give each design depth and personality. The firing process brings nuances in colour and finish to life and creates an authentic character.
Variations in colour, shape, texture and glaze are inherent to the production and firing process. These natural nuances make each piece unique.

Terracotta
Terracotta is a natural ceramic material with a warm, earthy appearance. Its tactile texture, organic colour variations, and subtle imperfections give decorative objects an authentic, handcrafted character.
Variations in colour, shape, texture, and finish are characteristic of terracotta and make each decorative piece unique.
Care
To preserve the natural appearance of your terracotta decoration for as long as possible:
- Remove dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
- If necessary, clean carefully with a slightly damp cloth.
- Use as little water as possible, especially with unglazed terracotta.
- Avoid harsh, chemical, or abrasive cleaning products.
- Remove moisture and spilled liquids immediately to limit staining.
- Always allow the object to dry completely after cleaning.
- Handle the object with care and protect it from knocks and falls.
- Not suitable for outdoor use or as a vase for water unless explicitly stated.
- Candle wax: allow spilled candle wax to cool and harden completely. Then remove it carefully without using sharp objects. Avoid heat or harsh cleaning products, as these may damage the surface or cause the wax to penetrate deeper into porous terracotta.
